For allergic rhinitis:

Nasal sprays help to reduce mucus production and swelling in the nose, and are effective in reversing mold allergy reactions. Cromolyn sodium in nasal spray form prevents nasal symptoms.

Allergy shots or immunotherapy works effectively in preventing mold allergy symptoms.

  • Use some bleaching powder and water to prevent mold formation in your house. Since bleach kills the mold, wash the areas with the bleach where mold develops.
  • Keep humidity level in between 30-40 percent to avoid mold formation.
  • After the pollen, mold is the second airborne allergen.
  • Place dehumidifiers in the damp areas to avoid mold formation.
