Allergies and asthma are related to each other as people with asthma have allergies that make their asthma worse and people with allergies have asthma.
Asthma is a chronic disease which affects the lungs.
Allergies and asthma causes repeated events of coughing, wheezing, tightness in the chest and breathlessness.
Most people in western countries suffer from allergies and asthma compared to people in less prosperous rural parts of the world and asthma rates are on high.
Allergies and asthma are related due to the environmental conditions, pets, food and metal.
Allergies and asthma with air particles:
Different types of air particles are carried in the air you breathe. Some particles which are large settle on the furniture and the walls in your room. Some large particles are removed from the nose and mouth when you inhale. But the smaller particles are breathed deep into the lungs.
These particles come from the indoors and some of them are carried from outside through windows, doors and heating systems. The air particles which are present at home and which come from outdoors cause allergy and asthma. Avoid outside air particles to enter into your home. Indoor air can be controlled easily.
Allergies and asthma with air conditioning:
Avoid too much air conditioning. Too much cold air can irritate your nose and eyes. Whenever you get near an air conditioner, you start to sneeze, puff up and get a runny nose. The air conditioning may cause allergy and asthma.
But air conditioning allows windows and doors to stay closed not allowing the dust to enter into the room. You can use medium air conditioning to control pollen, dust mites and mold spores.
Allergies and asthma with pets:
Almost all pets can cause allergies and asthma including dogs and cats. If you have allergy with pets, you have to remove it from your room to avoid asthma attack. Pet allergen may stay for long periods even after the pet is gone because it remains in house dust.
Don’t allow your pet into bedroom if you are suffering with allergies and asthma. Keep it away from the room or keep outside your home to control your allergy and asthma.
Allergies and asthma with tobacco smoke:
Tobacco smoke should not be allowed in the home or near the person who have allergies and asthma. Don’t sit near a person who is smoking and ask them to smoke outside if any one is smoking inside the home.
If you inhale tobacco smoke, your allergy and asthma symptoms become worse. Therefore it is necessary to avoid tobacco smoke to control allergy and asthma.
Allergies and asthma with dust mites:
Dust mites are tiny and are found in house dust. They are present in carpets, bed sheets, sofas, pillows, beds, windows, and stuffed toys. Dust mites are the major triggers for allergies and asthma.
You have to clean pillows, bed sheets and pillow covers every week. Carpet should be cleaned regularly. The rooms and windows should be cleaned regularly. Remove stuffed toys near the bed.
Allergies and asthma can be controlled by altering your environment. Find out the cause for allergies and asthma and treat allergy and asthma. If the allergies and asthma are due to pets, remove pets from your room.
The future treatments are yet to be developed which remove or diminish the allergies and asthma in the body and make an allergy free body.
