This can become an added advantage for you to prevent various allergy triggers.
  • Take shower before going to bed: When you take shower before going to bed, it helps you to eliminate all kinds of allergens from your hair and skin. Even, you can prevent transfer of allergens from you to your pillow covers, bed sheets and mattresses.
  • Be aware with pollen count in weather: If you have pollen allergy, then you have to protect yourself from exposure to pollen. When the pollen count is high in the atmosphere, you can avoid unnecessary outside work. If you have a habit of practicing exercises in open air, try to change your exercise timings and plan accordingly when the pollen count is low or at least practice them indoors.
  • Eat allergy fighting foods: It is believed that anti-oxidant foods greatly help you to reduce your frequent allergic triggers. Try to include variety of anti-oxidant fruits and vegetables in your daily routine. Omega 3 fatty acid also helps you to prevent serious inflammations in your body. So, try to include products of omega 3 fatty acids at least thrice in a week.

  1. All of the above are great ways to reduce the problem that airborne allergies cause, and another way that you can help yourself naturally is to breathe through your nose. The nose is a natural filter that eliminates allergens from the air that we breathe.

    If your nose is blocked, then try the following to see if it helps to unblock your nose:

    Sit down
    Breathe out without any effort (ie, do not try to empty the lungs)
    Before breathing in again, close your mouth if it is open and pinch your nostrils closed.
    Nod your head 10 – 15 times, or until you want to breathe. Be careful that you do not hurt your neck when nodding.
    Keeping the mouth closed, remove your hand from your nose and breathe SOFTLY and SLOWLY through your nose

    Repeat this exercise up to 5 times if the nose is very blocked. This is the most basic of the Buteyko exercises, which is great for helping people to breathe better.
