		<description>All of the above are great ways to reduce the problem that airborne allergies cause, and another way that you can help yourself naturally is to breathe through your nose. The nose is a natural filter that eliminates allergens from the air that we breathe.  

If your nose is blocked, then try the following to see if it helps to unblock your nose:

Sit down 
Breathe out without any effort (ie, do not try to empty the lungs) 
Before breathing in again, close your mouth if it is open and pinch your nostrils closed. 
Nod your head 10 - 15 times, or until you want to breathe. Be careful that you do not hurt your neck when nodding.
Keeping the mouth closed, remove your hand from your nose and breathe SOFTLY and SLOWLY through your nose 

Repeat this exercise up to 5 times if the nose is very blocked. This is the most basic of the Buteyko exercises, which is great for helping people to breathe better.
