How To Prevent Indoor Allergies?

Are you allergic to dust, mold, pollen or other indoor allergens? If you suffer from indoor allergies, there are a number of ways to prevent allergic reactions.

Household or indoor allergens cause many symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, etc, which are quite easy to control if you follow a few simple steps:

Tips to prevent indoor allergies:

  1. If you are allergic to dust mites, in order to keep them to a minimum you should keep your house humidity and vacuum to 50% less than regular.
  2. Instead of carpets, use hardwood, ceramic or linoleum flooring. These types of flooring not only prevent allergens to some extent, but they are relatively easy to clean.
  3. Regularly wash bed sheets and curtains in water that measures 130 degrees. This can help to eliminate allergic dust and dust mites.
  4. Keep your pet away from the bedroom and bath your pet at least twice a week if you are allergic to pet dander.
  5. Use exhaust fans in bathrooms to remove moisture, as it is the main source for growth of mold.

Reducing the level of allergens in your home is very important to control allergies and also an important part of allergy treatment.
