Allergic to Shellfish? Not forever Perhaps

If you have always had to avoid the shrimp cocktail, eschew the lobster or pass on the prawn curry, it may not continue forever.

According to a new study published in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology it was found that shellfish allergies may dissipate over time.

Typically the allergic reaction to shell fish that children display is stronger than that of adults.

This is the reason that it is recommended by researchers that adults who have been allergic to shellfish should get themselves tested to see if they are still allergic or if they have built up a resistance.
