  • Respiratory symptoms-some people also experience respiratory issues like asthma or hay fever on the consumption of cashews. Wheezing, runny nose, stuffy nose and others may also occur.

  • The first and the most effective way to treat the allergic reaction of cashew allergy is to avoid cashews altogether. Besides this one must also avoid any foods or ingredients which may contain cashews even in small amounts. Always read labels to ensure that no cashews are present.
  • Those people who are allergic to cashews are also allergic to pistachios and hence avoiding these nuts also is a good way to treat cashew allergy.
  • Those with severe case of cashew allergy must avoid coming in contact with cashew residue and cashew dust as well. Cashew dust is present in the air and the air where the dust may be present should be avoided altogether.
  • A lot of people who suffer from severe cases of cashew allergy are also recommended to carry EpiPen auto injector as it helps in treatment is the reaction occurs accidently. The treatment involves injecting the injection into the thigh to stop the symptoms of the reaction at once.
